Klimmuur Spaarnwoude

Spaarnwoude, Velsen, Netherlands

Area thumbnail Outdoor artificial | Bouldering | Lead climbing (sport) | Top rope

This is an artwork that is designed to climb on. The art is made by Frans de Wit and is located in a big Recreational area. The blocks are moulded from a real climbing area in Belgium and placed 'random' as this artwork. They say it are only 4 molds, but I can assure you it won't be boring. The routes are ranging from 5a to 7. On summer evenings it can be quite busy here. In general the routes are quite hard and the fingers will be painfull after a few hours on the concrete routes.

In 2019 the artwork has been renovated. The concrete has been repaired and the grips on one part are replaced.

In the months of Juli and August there are several music festivals in this area and it is not possible to reach the wall.
